Work history highlights

Copywriter, Designer, Future Sniffer

Parcero (Jan 2022 – Apr 2025)

I worked as a Copywriter in Parcero’s (an ad agency) creative team for a little over three years. During this time, I wrote countless pieces of content for dozens of different clients: expert articles, website copy, social media content, newsletters, ad scripts, and brochures. I also created a successful content strategy for an insurance company. All tailored to each client’s tone of voice and brand strategy.

Over the past year and a half I fell in love with building and developing the trend team. The team began with the simple goal of keeping up to date with marketing phenomena, but my passion for foresight helped shape it into a tool that produced future outlooks and valuable insights.

How did I do this?

✅ I developed the team’s working methods so that monitoring phenomena evolved from scattered observations into structured analysis. In this, I applied methods I had learned in my Futures Studies courses, such as categorization of observations and scenario thinking.

✅ I defined the team’s key focus areas and themes to ensure that the findings were clearly linked to clients’ businesses.

✅ I took on a thought leadership role in futures thinking and integrated foresight tools into the team’s work. The trend team was awarded internal recognition as the agency’s most inspiring team of 2024.

Creative Producer

Gut Studio Oy (Mar 2019 – May 2020)

My responsibilities included writing content articles, newsletters, and social media content, as well as styling fashion shoots for both digital and print publications.

In addition to content production, I also managed a project that involved social media coordination (copywriting, photography, and concepting), monthly newsletters, and website updates for a client in the art field. I reported on the project directly to the partners.

Entrepreneur, Content Producer, Writer, Stylist and Photographer

Tmi Elina Sarén (Oct 2017 (2013) – Nov 2019)

As an Entrepreneur, my principle was never to turn down a task I felt capable of doing, even if I had never done anything similar before. This proved to be an excellent principle, as I learned an incredible amount during my years of entrepreneurship.

✅ I got to work on content articles, journalistic print features, commercial and non-commercial styling, photography, website content, continuous social media, and newsletters.

✅ One of my biggest achievements in this role was designing a monthly in-store campaign concept for a small Finnish shoe chain. In addition to concept design, I was also responsible for executing the campaigns: building the set, styling, and photography.

Other clients I worked with included Business Finland, Helsinki Design Week, Terhi Pölkki, Lovia, A-lehdet and Marimekko, to name a few. I started as a freelancer in 2013 and continued as an entrepreneur from 2017 onwards.

Designer, Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc), Fashion/Apparel Design

Novia University of Applied Sciences (2009 – 2013)

My love for fashion drove me to study design. The studies provided an understanding of fashion history and garment construction, but above all, of how the fashion industry operates. I wanted to deepen this understanding further by pursuing internships.

During my internships, I focused on industrial apparel design at Stockmann’s design studio, as well as fashion media and communication at Olivia magazine. Since the early 2010s, my passion has been trends: what, how, and why something happens before a trend becomes a trend.

In my thesis “From Idea to Phenomenon: The Life Cycle of a Fashion Trend”, I explored how fashion trends emerged in the era before social media.

Bachelor of Hospitality Management, (BASc)

Turku University of Applied Sciences (2005 – 2008)

I studied Service Management with a specialization in Facilities Management. My particular area of interest was the usability of spaces from the customer’s perspective, which also became the focus of my thesis “Usability from the Customer’s Perspective: Case Stockmann Department Store in Turku.”

In the thesis, I conducted a survey to examine how customers perceived the usability of Stockmann’s Turku department store. I analyzed the results and formulated conclusions that enabled the client to improve the usability of the facilities and, consequently, customer satisfaction.
